Cleaners at Tel Aviv district court protest failure to pay their salaries

The problem of unpaid salaries is not limited to Palestinian workers, it seems, despite the recent wave of strikes across the West Bank.

The people who clean the Tel Aviv district court in Israel have also complained about unpaid salaries — and ironically, this in spite of court orders insisting that their salaries be paid.

News of their struggle came out in an unusual way.

They posted a letter (in Hebrew - see it in full here) protesting the failure to pay their salaries, explaining how they were afraid to strike for fear of losing their jobs, and so on.

The letter was scanned, posted to Facebook, and went viral.

According to a report on the Holes in Net website, the court denies any knowledge of this and claims to be unaware of the viral message.
